Mariposa Friday.............

Starting with a colossal butterfly pin by Hollie Ambrose featuring a vast array of incongruous materials.

Ancient Anthropologie cotton sweater with embroidered                     Mariposa's, sweet.

Paper bag waisted dark green silk skirt with skinny belt. Georgie says paper bag waisted stuff hasn't been in since the 80's. He always says that about everything I wear!

Paisley opaques a Xmas gift, I buy a lot, but I am gifted a plethora. Ferocious brown plats with thick heels, so comfy! Cho cho san is butterfly in Japanese. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

60's Called, Want Their Look Back.............

Let's term this"Funkadelic Thursday". Oh, those 60's were groove-aliscious baby!
I haven't had this vest since then, but it wouldn't be surprising. "Sesame Street" lime green fake ( no @$#*) fur.

Gotta have some medallions going on, bunch of peace signs would be more apprieu.
Smokin' Miu Miu patent go-go's (Prada's low end line) and plaid opaque hose.

Crazy wool hat and ceramic plate both by Janet Hoelzel, one of my favorite artist's and people!
Think it's hookah time!

Grey is my Favorite Color Wednesday..........

Anthroplogie sweater from days of yore hosts monolithic buttons in various designs on grey panel, oh yeah, and the rest of the sweater is red. Laurette O'Neil oxidized sterling and micro pearl choker.

Janet Hoelzel bought this skirt at a
thrift store, she said someone must possess it. I won. It's very clever, boasting tweed and several tiers. Good score Janet!

Polka dot leggings and ballet shoes. Still working solo, must be able to haul ass should the occasion arise. Post script: will look pretty good if I get robbed.
Dig it!

I'm SOOOOOO Done With This Arctic Action

Okay, so I wore blazers and coats in here for a couple of days, sorry, no can do. Must lighten the load and dress normal again. Don't worry, I have a coat.
Milagro necklace by Wanda Lobito. Nice hair stuck in it!

This sweater reminds me of Valentine's Day. Pink and hot pink lace, red ribbon, crystal buttons.
So feminine.
Hot pink pencil skirt. It's silk, so warm! Not!

Girly detail in back. Low pleats at bottom.

Such adoration for these shoes and stockings, have had these kitten heeled uber pointy pumps for years. I think someone gave me these hose as a gift. They say being cold burns more calories. Dig it!

This Weather is Cramping My Style!

Did unexpectedtly unearth these two necklaces from the treasure trove. The heart one is Thomas Mann and the nail one is M.B. Ramos. It has a little hammer hanging near the clasp in the back. Awww.

Vintage jacket from Off Broadway boasts an unusual color palette and cut. Looky, little pockets!

This thing again????? I mean it is Boden, a fave label but didn't I wear this 15 minutes ago? Travesty.......

Grey opaque hose ( they actually fit!) and biker boots that don't smell of gasoline! What a concept!

Enigmatic Sunday..............

First of all I want to speak about some of the plights women go through ensemble wise. Let's begin with pantyhose, surely designed by Satan, they're either for someone 6'4" and pooling around your ankles or the crotch is about 3 inches above the hem of your dress or skirt. What's up??????

My other peeve is pants, also made for someone 6'4" that you HAVE to go get altered in able to wear them. What a racket! They average woman is 5'4" so what gives??????? The fashion industry and alteration facilities must be co-conspirators! (Rant much?)

Copper and brass hand by Lorena Angulo, I put it on a faceted gem necklace, how clever am I? Not very ...........

Off white crocheted tunic. Sleeveless. Can you believe I keeping my jacket on? Surprise!
Delectable detail.

Blue, black and grey houndstooth jacket with simian sleeves I had to roll up. Don't get me started again! Lovely grey green skirt by Nic and Zoe, a favorite label.

Thick off white argyle pantyhose, crotch halfway to knees, and my kickin' snakeskin ankle height cowboy boots. The enigma of the day is "What gives with this outfit?". Do I care? I think not.

Leonardo Da Vinci Saturday...........

Janet Heolzel, known for her bizarre work in many mediums, creates these hats out of recycled sweaters she gets from thrift stores. They're all pretty Da Vinci-esque. Really needed today because of the clime and my hair looks like @%$&.

Exhumed from the archives is this dark green frock with black and white flowers. Polka dot Free People lace top and lava necklace by Laurette O'Neil.

Resounding the polka dot look are these polka dot hose.

Now I've got to tell you the low down on these boots. It's hysterical. They are SO petroleum based that they REEK of gasoline. I've left them outside for weeks, tried Febreze, even those odor eaters for funky sports shoes. Nothing. I self-consciously wore them to work today and hit them with Windex about every 5 minutes. To no avail.
Dig it!
