Dorothy Lorentzen was an extremely distinguished metalsmith with vim, spark, humor, longevity and abundant flare. She was an unequivocally talented designer. Those were the days when she worked in mounds of gold! This is a sterling piece I purchased for it's clever simplicity.
Dove grey shift with juxtaposed ruching that, in my opinion, is smarter than I am. That, unfortunately, doesn't take much. Dig it!
Back of said marvel. It's all good.
Dorothy lived well into her late 90's and created up until the very end. A rarity of a gem, indeed.
